Top Notch’s inclination toward her hard times and struggles has enhanced her talents as a freestyle rhymer. A native of Houston, TX, Top Notch (born Kris Harrison) has a story to tell and a message that everyone can learn.

Only 24 years old, she has experienced and overcome the pain of her father physically and emotionally abusing her schizophrenic mother, which she later dropped out of school and joined the military to support. This action also inspired her to focus on herself and her passion for music that is nothing short of a heartbeat that keeps her going on a daily basis.

By far, her music is not depressing or give the “Woo is me� blues. The message that screams to the listener is, “You can do ANYTHING you set your mind and heart on.� Although she has not followed the typical “right way,� she established her own set of “my way� rules, which keeps her focused.
