Lovers Crawl 2010
S.T. EP 2010

Top Ten Lovers was born in 2008 with John Epperly at vocals and guitar and John Pizzichemi on bass as first line-up. In August 2008 Livia Ranalli joins the band as drummer and backing vocalist. The first approach is very rock and catchy with some more obscure tunes with psychedelic nuances.
In 2009 John Pizzichemi leaves the band and Top Ten Lovers takes a new direction as a two-piece band and create a whole new sound that includes strong influences from The Kinks, Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Rolling Stones, Sonic Youth, Tim Harden, Beck, T Rex, Zombies, Nirvana, Chuck Berry, Tom Waits, Faces, White Stripes and a touch of electronic beats. The overall idea is quite unique thanks to the different backgrounds of John, Virgina born and raised on Atlantic Rhythm and Blues, rock & roll, americana and punk rock and Livia, from Italy and strongly influenced by funky and experimental rock.
The core aim of the project is to create a different idea of music from the current one but taking inspiration from sounds of the60s.

Top Ten Lovers is currently working on the recording and production of an album, which will be finished by the early months of 2010.

Shortly afterwards she starts attending music school, her first teacher Gianluca Scollo gives her a solid rock background, refined by Roberto Gualdi (PFM, Dolcenera) and Marcello "Bread" Schena (Jestofunk, Mina, Aida Cooper, London Symphony Orchestra ...).
Her music experience has spaced throughout Milan, varying from blues and rockabilly to surf and beat as a semi-professional drummer and collaborated with some of the major artists in the mod and rock'n'roll scene of northern Italy.
Progressive rock and experimental have have played a big role; she wrote a concept album inspired by artists such as Yes, Zappa and Pink Floyd.
In October 2007 Livia flies to NYC, starts playing in a jazz-funk trio with Ian Brand and Joe Charupakorn and joins Top Ten Lovers in August 2008.
