Tor & the Fjords

With heartfelt and distinctive original songs, as well as a few unexpected covers, Tor & the Fjords is a local indie folk artist in Albany, NY. Singer-guitarist Tor Loney has performed locally for years, and was chosen as a finalist for the 2012 Hudson Valley Songfest Best New Artist showcase and headliner for the most recent Capital Area Indie Fest, as well as playing this year's Albany Tulip Festival. He is also a librarian, and has combined his two loves by performing at area libraries and at multiple library conferences for the SUNY Library Association. He was one of the organizers of Albany Public Librarys Garage Bands and Acoustic Sidewalk series putting on live shows at the library, and cofounded the current Music Matters program providing free music instruction to the public.
