"LINDSTROM & PRINS THOMAS"

Back on the horse (literally once you see the jacket). Lindstrom teams up with his Pal and label boss of Tamburin records for another journey into the land of Moroder and other Italo disco bombs. This time lending a gorgous Sarah Mclauclan tupe female vocal (Torgunn Flaten) to the mix making this one more of an ethereal downtempo jam. But none the less the musiccality of these to kitty cats rises them to the top of their game. - http://www.houstonbeats.com/board/archive/index.php/t-45125.html

"..an achingly beautiful, blissed-out ballad!"

"And album closer RUN, an achingly beautiful, blissed-out ballad featuring Norwegian chanteuse Torgunn Flaten, is the album´s lone vocal track." - http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=85082382&s=143457

"Record of the week."

"Run" turns out to be the real dark horse of the piece. This incredible track takes its cue from the progressive 70s sounds of Ashra and Pink Floyd, zonked out, head-nodding Kruatrock spell with Torgunn Flaten´s Scandinavian voice and heavy, dischordant electric guitars. This is where our heads are at right now. - http://www.piccadillyrecords.com/

Torgunn Flaten is a many-faceted singer, songwriter and musician.
She likes almond pastry, the color green and light shattered through dewdrops and lots of snow in winter. Writing songs since her late teens, she is now eager to record and produce her own material...! Early on she played the flute, and joined both classical groups and later jazz and psychedelic rock bands. Her style of music is influenced by Debussy, Satie, Joy Division, Joni Mithell, New order, Eurythmics, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Velvet Underground, Bjork, Pink Floyd, Weather Report, Michael Franks, Billie Holiday and Cocteau Twins.

TORGUNN performs live as a duo, with Joar Krakevik and Torgunn Flaten. Though they are only two persons, you dont miss anything when they drag you into their own sonorous, peculiar harmonies. They appear symbiothic, etheric, organic with Joar Krakevik, "space echo" and guitar wizz, on electric guitar and effects, and Torgunn on vocal and acoustic guitar. Their music can be described as impressionistic, guitarbased, melodic with own harmonic moods, and these tunes are credible in their blend of several genres, in an available but highly personal expression.

Torgunn has collaborations with the award winning Hans-Peter Lindstrom- winner of norwegian Grammy "Spellemanns prisen" in Electronica 2007. Torgunn fetched great reviews for her song and voice (Run 2005). See more under Press Reviews.

In her studio at Kampen in Oslo she does recordings, producing and arranging on her songs, using different tools from wherever and whatever e.g things from the kitchen. Experiencing working as a soundengineer in films and documentaries, there is no limits, only it sounds like it can be of any use.

Torgunn has spend several years working with sound and video, making short-movies, documentary and animation. You can see her live-based music video "ICECOLD & BLUE" with animation at WWW.YOUTUBE.COM/TORGUNNTUNES
