Bio

Tori & Troi are a dynamic singing, guitar playing, songwriting duo whose sound is as unique as their backstory.

The industry seeks something "different" but with familiar enough elements for radio and the mainstream listener. Tori & Troi appeal to both the underground listener who takes pride in discovering the next "new sound" as well as the listener who typically enjoys the hottest of the top 40. Having started college at 13 years old, the girls are as ahead of their time in music as they were in their educations.

Tori and Troi were born in Atlanta to music industry veterans, former Atlantic Records artist, Ann G. and former member of Brick, Ed Irons. Music was a natural progression for the twins. After teaching themselves to play guitar and penning their own songs they expressed their serious interest to their mom, then a songwriter with Sony Music. Impressed by their work, she partnered with Michael Mavrolas and they developed the act and produced the demo. The twins were able to garner 4 major label offers, ultimately choosing Jive Records where Barry Weiss signed them under the stagename Axiz.

Eventually the girls and the label disagreed on the direction of the act and Axiz negotiated off of the label. After retaining most of their masters, the team geared up to shop a second deal. Unfortunately the experience had taken its toll on the girls and they decided they needed a break from the business and one another. They went on to finish earning their Bachelors degrees just after their 18th birthday.

Recently they decided to pursue their hearts' passion again and are in the process of rebuilding their fanbase and demo. As much as the girls have grown so has their sound. It has morphed from the pop/punk sound of their early teens into currently a more of a pop/alterative mix reminiscent of the vibes of such songs as Ellie Goulding's "Figure 8", Lykke Li's "Get Some", and Lana del Rey's "National Anthem".

Tori and Troi are individually brilliant and equally as talented. Together they are an amazing energy and musical force to watch for.
