Bio

TORIJANO - Aprend a Caminar (Trajn Musik -2011) (I learned to Walk),is the leap to the stages of Carlos Torijano Carrasco (Barcelona, 25/03/1975).

After a decade of experience in the field of training as a teacher at Taller de Musics of the Music Higher Grade -Area Flamenco, at the University of Barcelona leading the Graduate "Music creation and education" with Manel Camp and Tfol Trepat, and the "30 International Seminar on jazz, flamenco and latin" with Javier Colina.
He also points in the educational aspect, as the creator of "Flamenco Piano Method Initiation" (Ed. Carisch) and a collection of two DVD's "Piano Flamenco" (Ed. RGB) with great success in Spain.

On this album, the artist collects the experiences and influences of recent years, interpreting these as a journey through the desert. This is a series of compositions in the oriental style characterized by horizontality that occurr in different movements and landscapes, but with a melodic line very close to pop, which shows the influences of Torijano

This disc also drinks classical sources as we can listen in Son de Chopin (Frdric Chopin) as well as more modern (George Gershwin) as shown in the arrangement for buleras for piano and cajn in Rhapsody in Blue theme. Not forgetting the Spanish classic, but without losing sigh the backbone of the project: the flamenco and the jazz.

In his live, TORIJANO adopts a concept of band, in the most humble sense of the term, as it is real leadership is more for the songs than for players. Are the songs who decide what is the appropriate instrumentation for each moment, and they will show us from a piano duet Instimed-drawer, until just at the climax is reached in which moment the band broke up with his virtuosity.
