Bio
Tornadic Ukulele - performing contemporary alternative music using the ukulele as the featured instrument. While showing respect for the historic acoustic ukulele , Tornadic Ukulele also takes advantage of the modern electric ukulele’s capabilities to produce a powerful sound experience.
Teaming with RISA Musical Instruments of Germany and Black Sea Records Group of the USA, Tornadic Ukulele's TORN UKE CD has just been released.
The Tornadic Ukulele CD TORN UKE features front man Warren P. Cox playing the ukulele, bass, banjo, keyboard and all vocals. Drums are sequenced by co-producer Boris Romanov. Warren P. Cox has performed in many local and touring bands as a bass player and guitarist- Alternative music, Jazz, Country, Top 40, Dance, Punk, Folk, Rock and World music, as well as being the bass player on several recording productions. Although Warren is an accomplished guitarists as well, there are no guitars used on the CD.
“ I didn’t want people wondering what parts are guitar and what parts are ukulele. The electric ukulele can sound similar to an electric guitar at times, but I want the listener to know this is an all ukulele recording. There are no six string guitars on this recording at all, and we don’t use any guitars during live performances.” Warren P. Cox-Stubble Musiczine
Tornadic Ukulele performances vary and adapt to the situation. Tornadic Ukulele has performed as a Solo Acoustic act, but usually performs as Ukulele and a music sequencer or DJ playing the other instrumental pieces, and occasionally has a full 6 member band.
