Bio
Without fear of facing big bands, four old friends and experienced rock musicians from Brazil come together to launch a new work with a single purpose, to be original. Almost always in different bands, but with musical interests in common, guitarist Xicão (former Janice Doll) and drummer Arnoldo Ravizzini (Trampa, Darshan), start this project thinking in adding to their powerful riffs and beats a voice capable of performing both aggressive lines and soft melodies. For this task, they invite vocalist Thuyan Santiago (Darshan) to join the team. Finally, Thuyan was the one in charge of finding the bass player, an experienced musician in the underground universe, Álvaro Rodrigues. The band’s first consists in a 6-track self-titled album, Toro, released in October 2016. It contains six songs recorded in brazilian acclaimed 1234 Studio by Pedro Tavares, mixed and mastered by Ricardo Ponte (Latin Grammy 2016, Scalene-Ether). In this new work, several influences of consecrated bands can be identified, like resemblances of Muse, Alice in chains, Queens of the stone age, Rival Sons, but with several harmonic and rhythmic novelties of each style, thus conserving the originality of the work. With sober lyrics, they seek to escape from obvious themes, but always anchoring their foundations in real experiences and dramas.
