Torrid first began unlike many bands that have recently come to be. In April 2001, guitarist Ryan Gramza began searching for the missing link to complete his project. Along with his band mates Krope, Blaze Jay Hones & Sean “Chainsaw” Powell, the search began. Nearly a year later, an unexpected phone call came in followed by a package including 4 remade tracks from a singer actually living in Canada,. After a brief audition/jam session, everyone soon realized that the missing link was now found. Chosen over dozens of applicants from all over the U.S. Lukas D “the scandalous one” moved down to Grand Rapids with one goal in mind – to the top.
