"When the wind blows, the Three Tuns doth rock"

Towering Heights: this band of four, feature Garf Freeman on vocals, Jordy Yates on guitar, Rob Massey on bass, and Callum Turk on drums. Hailing from Lincoln, they are unsigned and kicking up a storm on the gig scene.

Their music is dynamic, and all band members play an important role on stage. Their overall sound is reminiscent of Alter Bridge and experimentalists Karnivool.

The tone of each track is set by the prominent bass lines of talented player Rob, and the timely crashing of drums by Turk. Yates plays with conviction and his melodic breaks add to the drama and help to build depth. Freeman is both captivating to listen to, and to watch. Time and time again, his emotive vocal rises to its highest point, and then rises again. It is all too tempting to draw comparison with Miles Kennedy (of Alter Bridge and The Mayfield Four).

Their tracks are well written, though the lyrics at times are indiscernible. They play with intent and their ability to change tempo and mood is impressive. Stand out tracks ‘Absence’ and ‘Prison’ express their direction and their collective abilities. However, their bold cover of Stevie’s ‘Superstitious’ deserves a mention too - played well, performed well and pulled off in style! - Gig It
