Biography

Tow The Line is a Dallas based rock band that has cultivated a sound that gives off not only creative energy, but a real feel of passion for the music. In 2007 founding members’ guitarist David Lusk and vocalist Ryan Kohler, both formerly of the San Diego bands Swallowed and Gen 13, began working on new material. The need and desire to fill the band out with a rhythm section became apparent after performing for local audiences in the Dallas area. Ryan and David began an exhausting search for a drummer and bassist that would fit with their creativity and sense of purpose. The band's lineup has been solidified with Darren Doyle on drums and Daddio on bass. Tow The Line draws influence from rock, blues, R& B, metal, and any genre of song that has the presence of “it”. “It” being musicians that make beautiful music that relate the human experience. Notable influences include Steely Dan, Soundgarden, Led Zeppelin, and Metallica. Along with writing and arranging great songs, Tow The Line’s live performance conveys energy that showcases the band’s relationship with their fans. Tow The Line is ready to bring their music and performance to a larger audience, aided with the positive support of fans and the growing momentum of the band. Music can be interpreted as a representation of life. The line is the path in life we all choose to walk. Our chosen path is music.

Lyrics

Hello Goodbye

Written By: Tow The Line

She said she wants to quit, but she ain't ready yet
Are ya'll ready?
Mr. Hello How ya Doing says I like your potential
She's all alone and he meets her credentials
Wanted money and she knew how to get it fast
Couple dollars in exchange of a piece of ass
Its an addiction and its killing her twice as fast
Tries to fight it but she can't get up out of its grasp
Left the babies alone, crying momma's not home
She just can't say no to Mr. Hello, hello, hello, Goodbye.
She's got what she need now she's off to fix house
Those jingle jangle shakes are making her sick now
Euphoric feeling and she gets here, calls it a home
Grabs a spoon in a minute she about to be blown
When the needle goes in, release the devil within her
Its about to begin, hello, hello, hello, hello, goodbye
If you give me this taste, never do it again
If you give me this taste, never do it again
Hello, Goodbye. Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, goodbye.

Pull the Trigger

Written By: Tow The Line

You're my only addiction, a habit I can't break
Now without you I'm a walking mess of regrettable mistakes
Need another fix before I come unglued
No, I don't blame you
I'm not afraid to pull the trigger, and the only thing that's stopping me is too far gone
I'm not afraid to pull the trigger, and the only thing that's stopping me is too far gone
It's 7:30 on that morning, I was dripping sweat like bodies are drowning
You know I feel I'm so confused, looking at these pictures of you
wishing I was lying right there with you
I'm not afraid to pull the trigger, and the only thing that's stopping me is too far gone
I'm not afraid to pull the trigger, and the only thing that's stopping me is too far gone
Will she wind up on that road, cause it's the only place I go
Will she make it there before I'm lying here bleeding
Can she make her way back home, cause its the only place I'd go
Can she make it here while I'm lying there screaming
Will she wind up on that road, cause its the only place I'd go
Will she make it there before I'm lying here screaming
I'm going to pull it, I'm not afraid of this because I should be lying there bleeding
cause I'm too far gone
