TOY SUGAR is four NYC based teen girls who met at Willie Mae Rock Camp for Girls in 2009 and work really hard to perfect and perform their original music. Their punk rock sound is tempered by their mid-tempo beat, and the earnestness and sheer awesomeness of these young girls is rare sight to see. TOY SUGAR is Kristal Dean on bass from Bed Stuy Brooklyn. Soreya Scilipote on drums from Nyack NY. Nora Schreiber lead vocals and guitar from Rockaway Beach Queens NY and Aziza Akhmatova on lead guitar from Belle Harbor Queens NY. TOY SUGAR played two shows in December at The Knitting Factory Brooklyn and are coming off two great shows at The Mercury Lounge opening for Titus Andronicus and at Littlefield in Brooklyn playing Brooklyn Bandanza.
