Fuck My Boyfriend - single release

Bio
Keen to avoid scenesters and bordom with a hate for skinny indie boy-bands and zombie pop-stars, Toy Toy began. Inspired by artists like Peaches, Gang of Four and ESG they set out to create their own fun.
Part of a new wave of independent artists, Toy Toy have worked with producer Robert Harder (Whitey, Soho Dolls, Acoustic Ladyland), had tracks remixed by Cage & Avairy (DFA) and The Slips (Lucky Egg), and had their music played on BBC Introducing shows on Radio 1 and 6 Music
Described as an"indie vs grime/dubstep elctro war", Toy Toy's exciting live shows have garnered them a fierce reputation on the underground circuit in London and beyond. Belizean-English frontwoman Demelza commands the audience's attention, "with a mix of Grace Jones’s scariness with the ebullient vocals of The Noisettes’ Shingai Shoniwa".
Toy Toy’s debut digital single Fuck My Boyfriend was a self-release in Spring 2009. A lively launch party followed at Pure Groove Records in Farringdon. Where frontwoman Demelza Toy Toy narrowly avoided arrest for ’swearing’ because it was 'Comic Relief the following week'.
After line-up change, Toy Toy are self-releasing follow-up single The Me Song in Nov 2009, and are finishing their EP for release early 2010.
