We are in the third incarnation of TPN currently - on our third bassist, and second singer. Garth, Tim and Glenn have been on-board from the beginning. Playing small venues around the Seattle area, and even one in Yelm, WA, we've been creating a buzz.
Our singer will arrive in America at the end of July. Until then, Jason, Garth, Tim, and Glenn are practicing regularly, which includes some recording, and working on giving flesh to new material.
Over the course of our time, we have written, and recorded in some form or another, 14 songs, 3 of them written by Glenn, the rest by Garth. We are as independent and DIY as they come.
When we started out, we had the idea of using three main influences - Tool, Radiohead, and The Mars Volta, to make some kind of sound. At this point, influences such as Steve Albini, Slint, The Refused, Sky Cries Mary, Alice In Chains (vocally), Tina Turner, Romanian pop music, Math Rock, Classical Guitar, & various butt rock and 80's metal have made their way into our sound. It evolves constantly, and takes much constructive criticism, patience, and love. We are out to change the world, in spite of the scope of that goal.
