Tracy Meckley Band

The Tracy Meckley Band is a 6 member, 5 piece bluegrass band dedicated to playing traditional and contemporary bluegrass music as well as some rock-n-roll tunes re-worked into an acoustic, bluegrass-influenced genre.

We have a good time on stage . . . although stage humor tends to be the dry, "groan" type of humor. For example, if someone we're performing for doesn't care for this kind of dry humor, we just "tune them out" (hmmm).

In our current configuration we've been performing together since November, 2009. Prior to that each band member has had extensive performing and recording experience with a variety of local or regional bands. Collectively, we bring nearly 60 years of performing and recording experience to our shows.

We enjoy listening to bands such as The Lonesome River Band and Blue Highway. Our influences include people like Mike Auldridge, Rob Ickes, Sammy Shelor, Tim Stafford and Doyle Lawson.

We're very serious about our music, but have fun with it as well. We consider it a privilege to be playing music together . . . our band members are truly excellent musicians who will delight any audience who enjoys acoustic, bluegrass music.
