Bio

Tracy Sands
Tracy Sands is a traditional Irish singer and Contemporary Irish Vocalist. She was born in Mayobridge, a small village in County Down, Ireland where she began singing at the age of eight for her hometown. She has since competed in and won many local and national singing competitions. Her family stems from a long line of Traditional Irish folk music performers, including the very famous "Sands Folk Family", who are known not only in Ireland, but also in Europe and the United States.
To begin her career Tracy played at many festivals and concerts in Ireland, including the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, before coming to America, where she was invited as the guest singer for the W.B Yeats International Festival. She has also appeared at the Fiddlers Green Festival, Rostrevor, Co. Down.
Now living in Florida, Tracy has performed on many local stages for many years and has participated in the West Palm Beach Irish Festival and South Florida Folk Festival, and the Bad Abbotts Irish Festival, Boston where she continues to perform on a regular basis with the well known Tara Hill. She also appeared at the hugely popular "Sunfest”, in West Palm Beach and performed at ‘Legendz’ in the Cayman Islands. Tracy has performed on the stages of many Irish festivals including Milwaukee, Cleveland, Ohio, Pittsburgh, and Augusta GA as well as the Bad Abbots Irish Festival in Quincy Boston where you can hear her on the Irish Hit Parade radio.
For the last two years Tracy has spent considerable time in Ireland researching and compiling new material for her next album due to be released at the end of the year. She has had a long term working relationship with the very well known and celebrated singer songwriter Rod MacDonald and they continue their journey making music and writing songs.
You can always find Tracy in her local Irish pub Paddy Mac's in Palm Beach Gardens Florida where she appears regularly.
Her debut album "Voice on the Line" was recorded in Florida. Tracy wrote and produced the title track. The CD is a collaboration of well known Irish songs, and was praised for its "contemporary kick", as described by Charles Passey, of the Palm Beach Post. The album includes four original songs by Tracys friends and bandmates. Her second album, "Enchanted," also available. It continues Tracy's popular combination of lively songs and strong Irish ballads showing not only her traditional Irish roots, but her ability to reach new audiences with strong contemporary vocals. Tracy can be seen performing all over Florida, as well as at venues throughout America.
