Lyrics

Life's Been Kind (Memory to Wear)

Written By: Tracy Stark

Hey - Weren’t you an old friend just the other day
What’s it been - Like 20 years - or more?

I remember you were so nice
I think I even kissed you once or twice
And with all I’ve forgotten - you, I can remember just the same

And I know - sometimes I look back
Cause sometimes life’s been kind
And you know - the train’s still on the track
Well maybe it don’t move as fast anymore
But it’s still on time

Oh, and I have fought some wars
I’m getting these lines on my face
But I can tell you now that it’s ok
They’ve earned their rightful place

And sometimes someone touches you so
And you got a new memory to wear
And no one knows exactly what you’ve been through
But we can tell you’ve been somewhere

And sometimes I look back
Cause sometimes life’s been kind
And you know - the train’s still on the track
Well maybe it don’t move as fast anymore
But it’s still on time

And here I reassess this hand that I’ve been dealt
And yes I’ve crawled on my knees and I got myself dirty
Just to see how it felt

But I can still hold my back straight and keep myself strong
And hope I don’t spend this life I’ve chosen
Wondering if it’s right - or if it’s wrong

And sometimes I look back
Cause sometimes life’s been kind
And you know - the train’s still on the track
Well maybe it don’t move as fast anymore
Maybe it don’t move like it did once before
Maybe it don’t move so fast anymore

But sometimes life’s been kind

Walk This World

Written By: Tracy Stark

Would you like to climb with me
Let our love be stronger than a mountain
Would you fly with me
We can be higher then the sky
Do you wanna take a chance
That we can be wilder than the ocean
Would you like to take a chance
And walk this world with me

Would you like to throw caution away
And play in a field of just us
Would you drive somewhere
We could be dangerous
Do you wanna take a chance
And highwire with no parachute
Would you like to take a chance
And walk this world with me

Hear the knocking opportunity
Long as you’re there - I got everything I need
Pennies floating from the heavens - treasures from the sea
Long as you’re there I got everything, everything, everything....

(primal scream...)
(Chorus)

Picture all the possibilities - long as there’s love I got everything I need
We can navigat the rough seas
Long as there’s love I got everything, everything, everything...

(primal scream...)
(Chorus)

Do you wanna take a chance - And walk this world with me

(primal scream)

Woman On the Stage (Pure Emotion)

Written By: Tracy Stark

A cool confidence radiates from her
She knows the score down to the letter
She offers no apologies
She’s just at ease
She knows no fear

There are no false alarms - no runarounds
She’s straight ahead - there’s no circus
Standing strong - a woman with a purpose

And for a moment - in that moment
You’re as free as the voice you hear
The voice you hear - it’s just

Pure emotion running thru you
You take it in - as fast as it’s coming to you
Lifts you up - puts some fire in your fight
It feels good - sounds right - Gets you thru
One more night

I look around the room just for a minute
She’s weaving a spell and everyone’s fallen in it
It goes so well - anyone looking on can tell
It’s true - she loves the view and

Lightening flashes as she starts the next groove
Something in you relaxes and you just gotta move

And for a moment - in that moment
She speaks solely to you
Solely to you

CHORUS

You’re lost in the maze
Of the woman on the stage
And for a moment - in that moment
She speaks solely to you
Solely to you

CHORUS

So Cool

Written By: Tracy Stark

SO COOL

In the cold north wind
I saw you again
And I wonder why it feels I never left
We never needed an alibi
And only once did you make me cry
And that was only late one night
Out of pleasure

I think you’re beautiful baby
I would be your fool
How’d ya get so beautiful baby
Did you have to go to school to get so cool

We’ll I never knew a soul so sublime
I have no fear when I cross your line
I never knew something this easy could feel so fine

Sometimes when I’m walking with you
I could swear everyone who sees you, wants you
But they can look all they want
The last dance is mine

Chorus

So cool......And it just keeps gettin’ better
So cool......Like a feast for the heart
You’re my how-to book - my bible baby
And you don’t even know how cool you are
That’s the best part

Chorus

Carnival Ride

Written By: Tracy Stark

Funny how I ended up on this rollercoaster ride
Maybe I shouldn’t have stood in the line and paid my fare
But I just wanted to see the view from where you stand
And scream with my hands up in the air

My code has been broken - The light’s already been lit
With a layer of smoke hovering over the pieces that just don’t fit

Cause you creep onto my page
In more than routine ways
Guess I’ll throw my heart to the gods
And let ‘em decide my fate

Funny how I ended up on this surreal flight
Yet here I am in the co-pilot’s chair
And everything’s on automatic and it should be a smooth ride
And I’m trying to land the plane but I can’t
Cause nothing’s clear here

Your imprint’s right where you left it
That’s a choice I’ve made
But for every time you wanna take me out dancing
The band has got to be paid

Cause you creep onto my page
In more than routine ways
Guess I’ll throw my heart to the gods
And then just walk away

Let me hear you say it - I need you now - Don’t back away
Teach me the rules - teach me your game baby
I wanna play I wanna play I wanna play I wanna play I wanna play
Let’s play

It’s not funny anymore - this feeling inside
This carnival ride is flying me too fast
But if I play it safer - would there be a way to forgive myself
For letting this pass

Lines were drawn - Lines were erased
Now we’re walking around trying to find us some new ones
And I’ve got a blindfold on my face

REPEAT CHORUS

Morning Light

Written By: Tracy Stark

Baby that’s right
I just wandered to your door
You know exactly what I came there for
But I can’t help it
You just look so beautiful tonight
And I can’t wait to see you this way
In the morning light

If there’s one thing that can make me smile
I’d sure like it to last a while
And maybe take this lovely little moment
And turn it into a long night
And I can’t wait to see you this way
In the morning light

Everyday I feel the same - I feel the same
Something in the wind whispers your name
And every night - oh, the moon shines from your eyes
But I can’t wait to see you in the morning light

From your eyes to my heart
There’s a soft conversation
And everytime I breath I get a sweet sensation
I just wanna hold your.......attention all night
And I can’t wait to see you this way
In the morning light
