"on the shoulders of giants." a collection over the years of thoughts/feelings put to music. a collection that is influenced by the music of david & the giants and the holy spirit. i have known them as my pastors, since i was young girl growing up in their church. i didn't know them as "david & the giants" i just knew them as brother david, rayborn and clayborn. the songs i write come from a place deep inside that is born of my life's experiences. a way for me to put the chaos of life in some sort of order. my mother used to make up silly songs about little nothings and i find that i do the same. many times a heard word or musical interval is enough to send me down the rabbit trail of a new song or singing an old familiar one. i try not to sing "these boots are made for walkin" around my husband anymore. i carry a pocket recorder with me at all times so that i can snatch what i can of the fleeting melodies & ideas that come to mind. thanks be to God for this gift of music. i hope you enjoy.
