BandRockBlues

Thankless Son has been hard at work in the rehearsal studio! We are now actively looking for bookings. I have been talking to promoters and club owners. We should start posting dates soon. We are very confident in our show and ready to roll. You'll be amazed at how big a three piece band sounds!

Biography

Thankless Son has done their homework. Six months of rehearsal is really paying off. The band is tight, we will rock your club. We have a mix of classic rock; ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Bozz Scags, John Melencamp and many others. We also have a nice selection of originals; Give This Honky a Ride, Season for You, You Don't Know, to name a few. Give us a listen and please offer feedback. We are very serious in doing a professional job, so we do welcome and appreciate your input.

Give This Honky A Ride

Written By: Tracy Wilson

I've been sittin' here for a while
I can't walk another mile
I wanna see those brake lights come on

Walked here from San Antone
Wore blisters on both my feet
Why don't you give this honky a ride

This old shoe leather tastes so poor
I sure could use a hot meal
French bread sippin' champagne
bon voyage my friend

So, don't you pass me by
I sure could use your help
Why don't you give this honky a ride

You Don't Know

Written By: Tracy Wilson

Since you went away
Clouds fill up my days
I’m a broken man
I just need a helping hand
Forgive me if I cry
I just feel like I’ll die
I needed you so much
I just need to feel your touch
‘cause You don’t know what it means
Wanting you
You don’t know what it means
Lovin’ you
You’re my whole life
You kept my world a turnin’
But, now my heart is always burning

I hold you in my dreams

Written By: Tracy Wilson

Sittin' here, with another magarita in my hand
try to forget, that love I lost so many years ago
when the night comes, comes my sleep
I close my eyes and dream

dry my eyes, as I sit and stare at your photograph
another time, sometimes feels like another life
when the night comes, comes my sleep
I close my eyes and dream

That I hold you in my dreams
I hold you in my dreams

dry my eyes, as I sit and stare at your photograph
another time, sometimes feels like another life
when the night comes, comes my sleep
I close my eyes and dream

That I hold you in my dreams
I hold you in my dreams
I hold you in my dreams
I hold you in my dreams

Season For You

Written By: Tracy A Wilson

Little hands dig in the dirt
digging up the little worms
then they throw them in a can
sit by the river throw the line in

there just seems to be a reason
for everything that we'v been pleasin'
I guess there always is a Season For You

Play in the hay, chase the mice
from our little minds back then
evrything just seemed to be easy
tell me if you realy know

there just seems to be a reason
for everything that we'v been pleasin'
I guess there always is a Season For You

Little hand become the world
to a little mind there is
no coplication there's no reason
for what were're doin' everyday

there just seems to be a reason
for everything that we'v been pleasin'
I guess there always is a Season For You

This Time

Written By: Tracy A Wilson

Is there anything on your mind
is there anything I should say
is there anything I should do, I should do
what should I do now, This Time

Yes, I tried to do what is nice
I tried to make some peace
because this is not world war three, world war thee
no need to fight now, This Time

So, I guess I'll just walk away
wash my hands of the whole damn deal
'cause there's just no more healin' now, no healin' now
no more healin' now, This Time

How could anyone be so unkind
how could anyone stoop so low
don't you think just had your nerve, had your nerve
boy some nerve you had, This Time

Well, I think you know what you can do
I think you know where to go
just look out for bad karma now, it's comin' now
bad karma comin', This Time

Is there anything on your mind
is there anything I should say
is there anything I should do, I should do
what should I do now, This Time

Lonely People Never Win

Written By: Tracy A Wilson

Baby, baby don't hide your heart now
send it on out to me
like the waves the ocean comin' over me

lonely nights can be so confusin'
lay your heart on me
just leave your worries, baby come with me

Listen baby the night will come, I'll be knokin' at your door
get your coat baby,
we'll drive on to the night

don't say no baby,
you got to give the night a try
'cause lonely people never, never win

lay yourself back baby,
enjoy the ride
it's so easy to leave it all behind

if you stay behind there's somethin'
that you need to know
lonely people never, never win

First Class

Written By: Tracy A Wilson

Well, if you want some gravy, some chicken fried too
just call me up baby, tell you what I'll do
I'll drive, you there
'cause this time, we're goin' First Class

If you see me a rollin', down the highway
one hand on the wheel and the window rolled down
just wave, pull over for you
'cause this time, we're goin' First Class

One wheel's for the road, and one for my hand
I smile and I wave, at everyone I see
hi, hi, howdy do
'cause this time, I'm goin' First Class

Well, if you want some gravy, some chicken fried too
just call me up baby, tell you what I'll do
I'll drive, you there
'cause this time, we're goin' First Class
