Trading Sand

Trading Sand

“Catchy melodies coupled with powerful political and personal lyrics gives Trading Sand a genuine sound that will motivate and inspire anyone.”

This trio based in San Diego, California began when two guitar players, Morgan Haley and Jason Jackson, met over 10 years ago. The two played together in Feng Shui and enjoyed minor success for several years before the band broke up in 1999. Each went on to play in a variety of bands before reuniting in 2007 when Jackson relocated back to the San Diego area.

Enthusiastic drummer, Nate Atwood, completes the trio with sensational rhythms. Atwood came to Trading Sand from successful bands like Daily Dose and Sexual Tofu.

Trading Sand’s debut self-titled album, released in January of 2009, explores the common voice of apathy and heartache in a provocative way with a fresh sound. Catchy melodies coupled with powerful political and personal lyrics motivate and inspire.

Although their time together has been short, singles like “Roll On Over” and “Plywood Coffin” are sure to quickly cause a stir. They are building a loyal fan base and continue to write great songs.
