"High Times: Unsigned Band"

Consisting of hand percussion, acoustic guitars and some bass, the group mixes three-part harmonies with catchy, foot-stomping rhythms that create a sound like no other. Live sets transition seamlessly as the group members trade instruments between songs creating a fun, distinctive show.

The only band of the week, thereby band of the month, for the month of November 2008. - Mike G.; Entertainment Section

"Head Phone Heroes"

In the styling of Roots of Creation emerges another band from Franklin Pierce. The aptly named Trailer 4 House Band is surf/reggae/acoustic trio comprised of Skye Perry (vocalist, percussionist, guitarist), Russ Viola (lead guitarist, backing vocals) and Jeff Anderson (guitarist, vocalist, percussionist, and harmonica.) The band formed by jamming together at Trailer 4 in the fall of 2007. When I asked the band about their musical influences the band explained where their songs come from. "Too many musical influences to list. We write our songs from our own life experiences. I guess you could say we are greatly influenced by roots reggae, acoustic sounds, and mostly nature." - Pierce Media Group

Bio

The Trailer 4 House Band is an experimental mix of each members' prior influences. T4HB first began at Franklin Pierce University when Russ, Jeff, and Skye first met and became friends. After a short time they began playing together around campus, frequently playing Parties at Trailer #4, where the name was first coined. The reggae/ Pop sound is created by a mix of Skye Perry’s strong rhythm guitar and Jeff Anderson's reggae past and recent love of piano. Along with this, Russell Viola provides eccentric lead guitar which he formulates on a unique hand built pedal board system. The bands sound exploded upon the arrival of two new members in the fall of 2009. Bassist Mike Gadman, having previous expierence with a punk/pop style of bass, helped to establish a new fullness to the bands music. Finally, after searching for the right percussive stylings, T4HB met Jared Lajoie. With his background in Hardcore and metal mixing with the Jeff, Russ and Skyes’ pop-Reggae and Mike’s driving minimalistic bass, the band has been able to create an experimental sound touching many genres, creating vibes that all can enjoy
