"Great Show!"

That was a great set at Holy Joes. A breezy, radio-friendly alt-pop feel that was also full of energy and rhythm. With the cameras rolling, the set seemed more like an event. It's always nice to see a band passionate about what they do. Entertaining. - Lonely Vagabond

"Review of "Cross That Line""

Review of "Cross that Line" by timberwolf 5.0

"Very cool" rock/pop melody! "Interesting" lyrics! Good song structure/arrangement! Good recording/production!

Quality vocal and instrumentation! {Super drummer!} With the right promotion, this could easily be "top ten" material, maybe go to #1.

Would love to hear more by this band!

{Note...if you feel my review is "short" by comparison to others, when I really LIKE/LOVE a song, I say LESS than when it leaves a bad taste in my mouth! Because PERFECTION doesn't need any help!!!!!}

You get a BIG "5" here!

Keep on rockin'!

About Tranquil
Joseph Accardi graduated from St. Thomas of Villanova High school in 2003 with honors, as President of the student council. He was then accepted to the University of Toronto for computer science. Joseph started playing and performing music at the age of 10. He plays piano, saxophone, flute, trumpet, clarinets, guitar and he sings. Joseph has also performed in and directed a handful of musicals over the last couple years.

Bram Cayne has been playing drums and percussion since the age of 11. He has studied under many professional drummers, including Toronto greats Barry Romberg and Rick Lazar. He has also learned from such jazz artists as Mike Murley and Mark Eisenman. He is currently attending York University. Bram has performed in various jazz bands, rock bands and pit orchestras (including West Side Story and the Rocky Horror Show) which have helped mold his diverse drumming style.

Darren Ricci began his musical career at a young age by taking piano lessons through the Royal Conservatory of Music. At the age of 13 he bought his first bass guitar. Although he is primarily self-taught on the bass, Darren has taken some private lessons throughout the years, and continues to strive to be the best musician he can be by listening and learning from others. Darren has played bass in various groups and bands ranging from a wide genre of music including rock, alternative, progressive, funk, and jazz to name a few. Darren is currently working on finishing his Bachelor of Arts degree in the social science program at the University of Toronto.

Mark Brathwaite began studying classical piano at age six, under teachers certified by the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is a grade 10 certified RCM teacher in piano, harmony, counterpoint, and also teaching practical guitar techniques. He has played the Markham Jazz Festival, the Markham Hilton Suites Hotel, and Unionville Festival with his former Mark Brathwaite Trio. This foundation in classical music has allowed him to excel in other genres many guitarists have trouble crossing; namely jazz, blues, and rock. He joined Tranquil officially in June 2008.

We have a large pool of influences we pull from. The band plays a pop-rock acoustic style. I would say we sound like some of the pop acoustic rock of the 90's, but my band members might strangle me for saying that. We do put a heavy modern spin on that style.
