Tranquil Echo is an instrumental blend of musical styles ranging from contemporary and nu-jazz to driving southern rock and blues leads laced with industrial and electronic themes. Piano and guitar act as the lead vocals and harmonies while intricate and polyrhythmic drums and other electronic percussions create an ambient background.
Matt Pompili, the creator of Tranquil Echo, began playing the piano heavily throughout his early years; earning many awards for his accomplishments as a young musician and vocalist. Pompili, already having a strong music theory background, became a self-taught guitarist and developed himself into the artist he is today.
As a sought-after musician, producer and engineer, Matt Pompili was lead vocalist and guitarist for the Texas metal band Brothergrim, the touring guitarist for the industrial metal band Sindaddy and session musician at The Craft Studios in Houston, TX owned and operated by Big Mike of The Ghetto Boys. While at The Craft Studios, Pompili worked with Devon the Dude, Blind Rob, John Brown the Rebel and was featured as guest guitarist, pianist and backing vocalist for DaGoldenChild’s single “It’s The End”.
Although Matt Pompili has been heavily involved in the music industry, he has never been artistically satisfied. After many experiences and countless hours in the studio, Pompili has perfected the sound of Tranquil Echo. His passion pours through the compositions as he is “hands on” with all aspects of the creation and development of Tranquil Echo.
