"Staff Picks"

“TRANSFER's newest four-track EP is whetting the appetites of music aficionados who are otherwise bored with what's coming out of the scene. With some of the smoothest hooks around, TRANSFER evade throwback status by reinventing and combining some seemingly familiar sounds for a powerful effect that's not easily pigeonholed. Trust me on this one, you've got to hear it for yourself.” - San Diego Music Matters - June 05

TRANSFER, formed in January 2004, is the result of four veteran san diego musicians.

within a month of releasing the 7-song e.p., "the guts of my arm," TRANSFER was nominated for a 2004 san diego music award for best local recording. TRANSFER shared the category with louis XIV, slightly stoopid, rocket from the crypt, and switchfoot. in april 2005, FOX6/XETV’s Fox Rox program recognized unwritten law, jason mraz, and TRANSFER in their “best of local bands” feature.

in march 2005, TRANSFER recorded four songs at san diego's strate sound studio with alan sanderson (elton john/weezer/rolling stones) serving as producer/engineer/biggest fan.
