With a hard rock base, Transfer to Red combines influences of Incubus and The Deftones with bands like Taking Back Sunday, Jimmy Eat World, and Thursday to form an energetic and melodic sound unlike any other.


Forming in September of 2003, Transfer to Red has played many shows in Illinois, Missouri, Indiana and Iowa. Along with playing many headlining shows at venues like The Canopy Club(Champaign, IL), The Hi-Point(St. Louis, MO), Rivoli Theater(Monmouth, IL) and Gabe's Oasis(Iowa City, IA), Transfer to Red Some of these artists include: The Junior Varsity(Victory Records), Lucky Boys Confusion, the Audition, The Fold(Tooth and Nail Records), War of Ages(Solid State Records), Twelve Gauge Valentine(Solid State Records), Flatfoot 56(Flicker Records) and FBS(Wounded Records).

Transfer to Red has been featured on Western Illinois University's 88.3 The Dog on Top 4 at 4, and have also had radio airplay on 95.9 WNLF FM. The band has also had songs featured on "Illinois Independents" Compilation on Pheonix Heart Records
