Bio

Transformer are a Brighton-based live dance trio made up of Johny Giles (vox/keys/programming/trumpet), Craig Mack
(bass) and Stephane Hourdille (drums),who have quickly gained a reputation for firing live shows that combine heavy
dance music grooves with a raw energy. They met through a shared love of 70s funk and disco, 80s iconic popstars and
Chicago House, 90s dance and 00s live-dance-bands, all of which serve to influence their captivating sound.

Over the last few years they have played alongside artists and DJs such as Peaches, Erol Alkan, Hot Chip, Friendly Fires,
Foals, Cut Copy, Andrew Wetherall, Shit Robot!!!, and Holy Fuck in clubs, venues and Festivals across the UK and Europe.

Having signed a publishing deal with District 6 in September, and now negotiating a
singles deal with an enthusiastic indie label, the next 12 months look exciting for the
trio. Following the success of debut single Cinema Car (which featured on Channel
4’s The Inbetweeners and Them From That Thing), the band self-released Dragonfly
in December 2012. Storming follow up GVNMNT is due for a spring 2013 release,
with a live EP ready for early-summer, before hitting the festivals!
