The best kept secret in music
Press
Straight up - this is a good song. Possibly even a great song. For a rock ensemble that's had only 297 plays at MP3.com, there is a definite show of talent here that I expect I will hear relentlessly on my top 40 radio station some indeterminate time in the future. God knows that good music struggles to be heard, but also that it eventually will be appreciated. Hopefully this starts Transmission on the road to the success that they deserve - James Bethell

Bio
Mysteriously moving with a kick-you-in-the-face punch that demands your attention, Transmission is the perfect blend of heavy rock riffs, hard-hitting drums, melodic interludes, and truly inspirational lyrics. Just as the melody begins to envelope your body and the lyrics engulf your mind, this band kicks your ass without looking back. With influences ranging from Tool to The Beatles, its no wonder this foursome is creating some of the most memorable and melodic hard rock tunes to come out of Atlanta in years.
Formed in 1999 by guitarist Tommy Thompson and vocalist Jason Roby, Transmission's lineup became final in the summer of 2001 with the addition of drummer Josh Hack and bassist Sword. Evident in their heavy commercial melodies, Transmission is pure chemistry! With dynamics ranging from hushed wisps of layered air to body-pounding punches, Transmission produces a darkly energetic stage show that completely absorbs the audience.
As testament to the bands musical prowess and business sensibilities, TRANSMISSION has already accomplished a great deal within their first year of existence. They have sold hundreds of copies of their debut 3-song EP, and have also been selected to be included on Mars Musics Band Together compilation CD for the Southeast region, which benefited the victims of the 9/11 tragedies. TRANSMISSION also broke an attendance record at the club where they played their very first hometown show. Since then, they have continually turned out excellent attendances at their shows, sometimes to near capacity crowds and the numbers continue to grow. They have also played shows and festivals in other states around the Southeast region, which has begun to generate a TRANSMISSION fan base outside of their hometown.
Now, as the band prepares to release their debut full-length CD, their popularity in the Southeast continues to grow. The band is currently performing at venues in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina with tour expansion into other areas of the region expected over the next several months.
From large to small venues, Transmission is generating a loyal fan base and a great deal of industry attention, due to the intensity of their live shows and the strength of their songs. To contact Transmission, call 678-445-3837 or email management@transmissionrock.com for more information.
