Travelin Blues is a solo project created by Jarek Reihner in the summer of 2012 in Boston, MA. Inspired by artists such as the The Avett Brothers, The Head and the Heart, Of Monsters and Men, Band of Horses, and Andrew Bird, the band is rooted in the early sounds of country, folk, and blues in American history and looks to blend these genres into a modern Americana sound that is seen today. “The lyrics are the most important part of the music for me. When I sit down to write a song, I'll maybe strum a few chords or pick a few notes, but I really try to pay close attention to that sound and evoke the sense of emotion I feel into the words I am presenting to the listener.”
