Bio

The Travis Abercrombie Band is one of Nashville's newest rock scene, radio darlings, slowly generating an "industry buzz" around Nashvegas. Rooted in its founder, Travis Abercrombie is a modern rock singer/songwriter originally hailing from South Carolina. Still in his twenties, Abercrombie himself has been performing at various clubs, colleges (Clemson Alumni), and festivals in the South for six years. As a result, Abercrombie has been able to form a band and business team to be propelled to the next level. The Travis Abercrombie Band has been touring regionally for three months to support the new CD, 'Spin' that was released in late November 2002. Since the album's release, Nashville radio stations like 102.9 "The Buzz" and Lightning 100.1 have played the single "A Little Too Much" in steady rotation on their weekly local music shows. 102.9 "The Buzz" has also chosen the single, "A Little Too Much", to be on the "Best of Local Buzz" compilation CD to be released in the Summer 2003. in April 2003, the band opened for Vertical Horizon at University of Texas' "40 Acres Fest." Internet stores and local/regional record stores like Tower Records and Manifest Discs and Tapes have since put the album on consignment leading to ~1500 CD sales to date. Also, two local entertainment publications, The Nashville Scene and The Rage, have both picked the band as their "Critics' Pick". The album in a word is "WOW" (amazon.com 2002). From top to bottom, they are all great songs with different moods. Everyone seems to have a favorite, which is cool by Travis. He "sings about lust, obsession, and longing with genuine emotion". (Sensored Magazine).
