Travis Grode

Travis Grode has been poking the dog with a stick and it’s stirring with a new vigor, direction, and sophistication. He’s an educated farm kid from the rural Midwest. The oldest of 3, he grew up in rural farming communities in South Dakota, the son of famer and carpenter. His childhood was lean and tough. The fundaments of his music reflect all of this. It’s simple, open, genuine, raw and brutally honest. He cut his teeth in college playing his original music in Midwest bars and clubs all over South Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa. In 2006, he cut his 1st full length album with his band “The Color Green” which warranted some popular local acclaim and a devoted following. After graduating college with a marketing degree he moved to Denver CO, married, and started a career in the casino industry. Over the past 6 years, his role as a husband, father and Marketing Director have taken front seat, but he wasn’t able to let sleeping dogs lie. “Rhubarb Garden”, his latest EP, is his awakening from dormancy. This EP is full of sticky lyrics. It’s eclectic, raw and engaging. Travis is just picking up steam. He is currently writing a full length album and is working with a team to finance the new recording project.
