Saltwater Merchants

BandAmericanaRock

we the low-key three love jammin and chillin to the smooth sounds of water music, each with salty words of wit and storytelling. give us a listen, we won't let you drown. it's music to float by.

Biography

Geoff lives in Azusa. Corey and his wife moved to Chicago so currently I am playing solo and mostly bandless in the Fresno areas. Some new Saltwater Merchants have been helping me out: Tim, Mike, Ted... We have been sticking to this americana style though these latest months have brought a whole slew of new songs and the style has been surprizingly simple. changing like the seasons and maturing quite nicely. I really dig these new songs. feel free to check em out. -travis

Lyrics

Seven Year Waltz

Written By: Travis Oberg

I gotta plan you would never suspect, it's taken some time but I have no regrets save this one sentiment in a jacket and vest i'll kiss you if it's the last thing i do

you're standing here and i'm seven years gone, lost to the city stringing along like a train a train and it's blowing it's whistle and it's whistle is singing this song

blow baby blow baby blow like the wind now and again
blow baby blow baby blow on these fingers of sin

i'm in a rut that's been hemming me in been so long and wide that i've tried to forget it but it's keeping me down where i can't see the sun and i ain't seen nothing yet

well i'm standing here and you're seven years gone, lost to the city stringing along like a train, a train it's blowing its' whistle and its' whistle is singing this song

blow baby blow baby blow like the wing now and again, blow baby blow baby blow on these fingers of sin
