Bio
Johannesburg based musician and rapper Travolta Salane released his first EP, "Grown Man Jazz", in 2014 and the lead single "Everyday" debuted at number one at Madibaz Radio Station in Port Elizabeth. He released Melanin Magic in 2017, a song that encourages unapologetic love for blackness. The highlight of Travolta's career was performing at the 2019 Presidential Inauguration, to an audience of 30 000 at Loftus Stadium in Pretoria. His lyrics, delivered in a smooth mix of English and Xitsonga over a sonic fusion of jazz, neo-soul and boom bap, explore themes of love, spirituality, life and African consciousness.
