Feeling a bit camera shy

The LA pop band, collectively known as Traysee, combines pop, rock, classical and musical theatre influences in their energetic and entertaining stage show. Traysee is led by guitarist Matt Mitchell (Gene Loves Jezebel & Tony Kanal of No Doubt), and vocalist Traysee Gayle (the two married this year on Valentines day), and features drummer Joakim Eckberg (Jackie De Shannon) & bassist Bill Cinque. The band kicked off 2004 with a performance at the Hard Rock Cafe sponsored by FemMuse. New Music Weekly wrote “Traysee closed out the evening... and what a finish. The band is amazing, providing rocking stuff with a bit of camp. Loved the instrumental interludes when Traysee went back stage to change costumes. They played anything from some classical to polka to whatever it was... Traysee sounded great, looked stunning (changed costumes three times) and they were just too much fun to watch.” The group has released a five-song EP titled "Lift Off". The EP was part of Jewel’s Soul City Café Music Quest project, and received an ASCAP Plus Award for songwriting. Dan Kimpel of Music Connection wrote, “Traysee explores a galaxy of sonic delights on the newest EP, Lift Off. It’s an upbeat excursion as Traysee explores the trajectory between life and love…”
