"Review of Fatherless Child"

well, you've clearly had a tough child hood...
But goddam was it worth it!

this is a dope track!

I can really relate to this cuz my dad was a useless scouser (look it up) and I dont see him, although I didn't get into any aggy gang shit!

I love the samples youve used, but the synth could be tided up a bit with eq.

otherwise cool.

Jazz Funk
The horns are incredible on this one. Real funky sound to it...It sort of reminds me of that show New York Undercover.

Production is good and the song is original. I think the hook needs a little work but its cool.

Good job

"Positive beats uplift listeners, Artists rise above and beyond the street."

The hip-hop group TreAction made its debut on "BabyBoy Live," a radio show that plays the hottest club mixes. The show is hosted by Cisco Delgado (he prefers to go by Dj BabyBoy). DJ Baby Boy promoted the new album "Peep Game."

Jason McNeely, also known as Action, and Yosaphien, a new artist on Lettin' Off Records, filled the room with excitement as soon as they came in to the room.

"TreAction has been together for 10 years," Action said. "We campaign market our CD's and it is our strategy that we do this together as a hip-hop group."

Action has had an interest in hip-hop music since he was 6 years old.

"We listen to different music. We keep an open mind. We also critique each other too," Yosaphien said.

"We don't have a specific genre name but our sound is new age, funk, and straight hip-hop," Yosaphien said.

Charles Singleton, also known as Tre of TreAction, could not be at the show.

"The "BabyBoy Live" show is like a movie experience.

A lot of people don't know this radio station exists," said Jeramiah RosBorough, a KLBC DJ.

Instead of glamorizing thugs, guns and drugs, TreAction remained faithful to its mission of rising above the streets, instead of falling back into the streets. (from the site cdbaby.com)

"We focus on our music and our dream and decided to take a different route," Action said.

The group opened its own independent label, "Lettin' Off Entertainment" in 1999. "TreAction is the CEO of the company, so that we can put out the albums under our name," Action said.

TreAction plans to perform at this year's Long Beach Grand Prix and at the Blue Café in downtown Long Beach.

DJ BabyBoy's showtimes are every Tuesday from 4-5p. m. and Thursday 2-3p.m. on KLBC.

"Review of Baby girl"

Good form, execution can use improvement.
Good job keeping the rhythm tight.
Verse and chorus easy to identify, but try to do more to make them distinct and contrasting.
As a listener, I remember hearing "Hey Baby Girl, I like your style" so if the song title is in there, you're doing great.
Quiet mix - make sure the sound is normalized to 0db.
The beat would be really improved with some booming bass, even if it's on the same frequencies as your lowest keyboard note.
Ending seems very abrupt.

"Review of Sound Boy killea"

Finally a polished song.
Good Hook with a world dance hall beat feel that almost sounds a little BlackEyedPeasish which is a good thing. The lyrics were good but not spectacular but good enough the biggest problem was that they didn't stick to a central theme/topic and are sort of random. But the overdubs are very cool and interesting. The production on the vocals was crisp and clean just how the radio likes it. The beat in the mix could have cut thru more. Overall the production is good but it sounds unmastered. I think there is most def commercial potential here! And as for what ya sound like I'd say a good mix a Sean Paul and BEP.

these guys are the shiznit
Move over Busta Rhymes, there's a new group in town with a sweet regge flavor in the vocals and some tight rhymes. This track is radio ready and sooo much better than most of the crappy hip hop I hear on Garage Band. You guys have your shiznit together! Keep it up and I hope to hear you guys on the radio soon.

"Target Audience Magazine Review"

TreAction:
Describe something which combines melody, rhythm and multiple languages. Describe the emotion of culture and the melting pot experienced in America. Go ahead. Define TreAction. I dare you to do it accurately.

The first song I heard was "Sound Boy Killea" and it had such a vibration to my mood that I didn't pay attention to the words; I just grooved along as I multi-tasked other assignments for work and school. This isn't the kind of music I can listen to all the time over and over, but I love the spirit in it. It is the type of thing I want to hear at a club or walking through a crowded room. This could be played at top volume while I watch people dance (since I can't dance myself).

With subjects from knowing "dad" to feel-good jazz laced with Spanish lyrics this group is un-categorical. Rap and R&B tie together with such style and individual song themes range so much and so well it is easy to see that the places Charles and Jason came up in were filled with diversity and range. Instead of following a "gansta" life, they chose to follow a better road and make music which is inspiring in and of itself. Check out TreAction at www.myspace.com/treaction and www.cdbaby.com/treaction. You'll be surprised. We all need to "watch them boys" and they will be playing locally in Los Angeles so be ready for “TA”.

"UM Magazine Review"

T r e A c t i o n
is an excellent performing group out
of Long Beach CA. A real solid hiphop group that is taking the time to be both lyrical and charismatic.

I really am digging their whole flow.
West artist yes but more on that next stuff. Sometimes it is rare to find Hip-Hop artists who care about their image beyond their immediate fan base. I can’t wait to see them perform live to see if they can bring the heat. Based on their music style
and flow I don’t think I would be
disappointed.

2008 is going to be big for these guys as long as they can make those moves necessary to
push their music to the people that
count. Those being the fans and
industry cats needed to be sold on
their music. They need to make that
push hard, heavy and on now to get that early jump on their competition. - by Bilkey

Bio

They grew up in an area where poverty had hit its highest, being in the local street gang was the only way out and being poor was just a part of life. The same area where legendary Rap artist Snoop Doggy Dogg and Warren G had grew up, but decided to take a somewhat different approach to the streets. Charles and Jason knew at a young age that this was not the life they wanted for themselves. They decided that they were not going to become victims of their circumstances and made some life changing choices.

Hidden away in cloud of unsigned talent and unheard hype, a group of inspiring young artists scream for recognition from the underground rap scene. The duo, consisting of rapper Charles “Trematic” Singleton and producer Jason “Action” McNeely are focused on a journey to introduce dope beats, dissecting lyrics and an original style to a copy-cat industry. They formed a hot act called “TreAction”. “TreAction” avoided the pitfalls of ghetto life by embracing hip-hop into their hearts and souls. As students of Polytechnic High School, our artists took part in freestyle battles at lunchtime to show off their devastating skill. “Trematic” recited lyrics while “Action” laced the group with fantastic beat boxing backup. They soon joined allies with friends to construct another rap group called “Unseen”. After high school Charles and Jason stayed as a family and officially formed the tag team “TreAction” in 1998. Later, the team had to endure a lengthy separation while Jason attended school in Arizona. The time apart seemed to leave the young men in an alarming stand still. When “Action” unexpectedly returned later that year, “TreAction” wasted no time getting back to work.

Influenced by East Coast rawness and West Coast groove, “TreAction” combined the best of both worlds into their own flavor of hardcore hip-hop. They produced a countless number of hard-hitting tracks and jam-packed demos. While fellow Long Beach MCs, such as “Snoop Doggy Dogg,” “Warren G” and “Tha Dogg Pound” sold millions of records by glamorizing the thugs, guns, and drugs, “TreAction” remained faithful to their mission of rising above the streets, instead of falling back to the streets. In 1999, they created their own Entertainment company named “Lettin Off Entertainment”. The first release off their label is appropriately titled “Dissimilar Styles”. This compilation displays the versatile talents of “TreAction”, along with labelmates “2 Man Army” that has the Long Beach underground buzzing. “TreAction” has performed live at many local venues around the area, Such as the “Ivar Theatre” in Hollywood, “Chreese Records”, “show events in Inglewood”, “Knitting Factory”, and the “Galaxy Theatre” in Orange County.

“TreAction” (TA) music brings substance over nonsense taking the listener on a roller coaster ride of new sound. Whether you like hip-hop in its purest form, nightclub rump shaker or some West Coast “G-funk,” “TreAction” can flip it. Step into the world of (TA) and experience the musical rush of “Dissimilar Styles.”

Treaction was the 1st to bring you "Sound Boy Killa!" Sound Boy Killa has been the property of Treaction since 1997!
