"Soul Of The North (Internet Magazine)"

If the corporate suits who run music assume that what the world needs in an indie/rock band is Athlete, then I suggest a bus load of bloated types should have been shunted into the Mill for TREEHOUSE 3. Everything from the growling opener " Unswept Room" was delivered with credible class; the sound of commercial acts but with a punchy raw quality. Waves of appreciative applause followed each whammer of a finish, each increase with emotion and drive. Preston will soon have dozens of established bands on that very same stage, and of course this five piece have a way to travel to reach the mainstream, but the crafted songs performed here suggest comparisons will be made with more lofty peers before long. A band need that hidden mystery factor to hypnotise the crowd into thinking what they are seeing is something different - by the epic, swooping, enveloping closure of "Difference" and "Water", the act of convincing was complete. - Liam

"Botb Final"

Treehouse 3 were met with a 12-deep crowd and were still cool, calm and collected. The first note would either melt a lot of hearts or cause collective breaths to be exhaled in shock; it came and it was clear water for the rest of the set. Rockier than usual Treehouse 3- could do no wrong. A concentrated, composed pot-boiler to open, followed by the pounding energy of the later tracks all worked with measured professionalism and a touch of self-assured pride.

The voice is chocolate rich, but the other members shone, notably the guitarist and drums. Reserved but well composed songs build and the great reaction to every track bolsters the vigor with which the band performs. It may a sound as safe as falling into a box of cardigans, but what a sound it is. Faultless. - Doktorb
