Bio

TreeHouseClub Bio:

"From the Depths of the sea, back on the block..." (c) Snoop Dogg

This line from the Doggfather's seminal debut perfectly paraphrases the mantra of Southern California's self proclaimed " Kings of the Beach", the TreeHouseClub. Rappers El Prez, DNEZ, and Chris Focus formed the club in early 2010 with hopes of spreading the TreeHouse lifestyle around the world. In a short time they have already performed and appeared at various festivals and venues around the country to ecstatic crowds hungry for high energy Hip-Hop music. From SXSW, to world famous venues such as the Roxy on the Sunset Strip, the club has gained new members at every stop due to their emphasis on bass-heavy beats and infectious call-and-response hooks and melodies. In other words, expect to sweat your shirts and weaves out when you attend a TreeHouseClub show.

Emcees El Prez, DNEZ, and Chris Focus have been described as a mix between the Pharcyde and the Beastie Boys by various tastemakers and blogs across the internet. Both comparisons are apt for a group whose material focuses on the finer things in life: Blunts, Booze, and Broads, yet their refreshing take on these subjects are ultimately what sets them apart from other artists in the current burgeoning LA Hip-Hop Scene.

Next on the menu for the Treachorous trio is their breakout EP, "Golden Days Purple Nights". With production and features from Dae One, Polyester, The Weathermen, Jansport J, and others, it has been described as a "Polaroid snapshot of the SoCal culture", and "A slacker's graduation speech" by various peers. So join the club this september as they take you on a journey for "Golden Days Purple Nights."
