Leeland Davenport (born May 27, 1990 in Montgomery, Alabama, United States) is an upcoming artist out of Atlanta, Ga whose style of rapping and creativity is influential in Atlanta's indie music scene. With partner CJ Francis IV, Chvse, and Demi Hughes he is a member of the hip-hop collective Good News Music Group. He released his debut mixtape, Simply Orange Kush in 2012, and has followed with Honor Roll, Treeland's Apartment, and Fini Music.
If you take the audacity of Eminem , the slickness and creativeness of Outkast, the imagination and southern rebellion of Ludacris, the G in Tupac, the arrogance of Kanye, and the hustle of Jay-Z- you will have the artist known today as Treeland.
Treelands edgy sound with his country accent and unique beats will help him redefine the sound we call hip-hop today. The songs he creates feature unusual arrangements, sounds, and instrumentation, tied together by an unusual sense of rhythm. With most of his production coming from fellow group member CJ Francis IV, his ideas come to life.
