Bio

To be a successful MC breaking through the flooded music industry of the Bay Area one must be unique, eccentric, and have a classic style. All of the qualities a well known hip hop lyricist from Richmond, CA. exuberates in his music that goes by the name “T-Reezy”. At an early age
his mother moved the family and “T-Reezy” was introduced to the streets (south side) Richmond, CA. His life was that of an average child growing up with a single parent, mom working hard to provide for the family. “T-Reezy” was very mature and stylish and had a true love for hip hop at an early age. To him it was not just the music but the art form the way hip hop allowed you to express yourself. His influences started with Sugar Hill Gang, EPMD, Slick Rick, Eric B & Rakim and many other great classic MC’s. As “T-Reezy” grew up he was quickly influenced by the streets but managed to stay focused and graduated from El Cerrito High School in 1999. Fate soon intervened and “T-Reezy” began a new hustle and started taking his music career seriously. He featured on an R&B vocalist record by the name of “Nio the Gift” and did some writing for other local rappers. Collaborated on a song with a Bay Area buzz “Erk the Jerk”, they both vibe sharing the love of hip hop. “T-Reezy’s” lyrics combined with a unique delivery certified him as a true MC.

While the world suffered watching the victims of “Hurricane Katrina” sadly resulting in the natives were relocated to different states one “Magnolia Chop” known for his hit song with Cash Money Records “Ghetto”. “Magnolia Chop” landed in the Bay Area and collaborated with “T-Reezy” on a few tracks. Soon after “T-Reezy” released his first mix tape titled” Stunt or Die” a debut to announce his arrival in the game. Being raised alone “T-Reezy” rarely had large groups to travel with so he stayed to himself but that motivated him and kept him out of trouble many times. Taking on small local shows he then realized his comfort zone and performing became second nature. In 2007 he took the independent hustle that the early local rappers “E-40”, “Too -Short”, and “JT The Bigga Figga demonstrated by pressing his own music and selling wherever there was a demand for it. With the success of distributing his won product he decided to record his second mix tape. The streets demanded more so he titled the next project “Hustle & Flow” creating a major buzz in the Bay Area. With a strong determination to be heard across the world he ventured out on the biggest weekend in history “All Star Weekend” in Las Vegas. This was his opportunity to reach the masses from ball players, party goers, club promoters, and international disc jockeys. Now “T-Reezy’s” name was ringing nationwide and his fan base grew rapidly. As a result of “T-Reezy’s” excellent promoting strategy of distributing free samples of his music in Las Vegas he was able to connect with many heavy hitters in the industry. He felt he finally had arrived and now could begin working on a major album.

As he grew to become more seasoned as a lyricist his hunger grew stronger and he wanted more out of the game. He was heavily influenced by leaders in the game “P-Diddy”, Jay- Z, and Nas pioneers that took their business savvy and capitalized in the entertainment industry. “T-Reezy” saw nothing but brighter futures and greener pastures in 2008 he launched “Sawcy Music Group”. With his savings and wise decisions he was able to invest into his studio to further advance his vision of his company. Determined not to be a statistical “rapper” he continues to think outside the box and travel doing shows and making history. His main goal of his brand and his label is to release nothing but timeless music that people will love for years to come. It was very important to “T-Reezy” to represent hip hop and stay true to his town supporting the ”hyphy” movement an interpretation of the expression of music in the “Bay Area”. Although his perception is different on the “hyphy” brand for the Bay Area he put his own twist to it and rolls with it. But aside from hip hop “T-Reezy” opens the door for all talent with “Sawcy Music Group” and welcomes all genres as long as it is quality music.

As he builds his label anticipation grows for his new album and the producers for the album are major enabling him to step into the mainstream sound. One producer “T-Reezy” has the opportunity to work with is “Clinton Sparks” know for the record “Dangerous” with Akon of Konvict Music. Another fire starter for the album is the Mississippi native “David Banner” who produces nothing but hot timeless tracks. Along with his in house producers “Aristotle” and “Ant” from the Bay Area he has a great chance to break through. As “T-Reezy” makes what he calls “goose bump” music many artists’ better beware as he hit’s the scene with full force looking to gain a major record deal to make his mark in the industry.
