"Soul Express CD Review"

This beautiful new talent, Trei (pronounced Tree) delivers what can only be one of the most consistent soul albums thus far in 2005. This major talent has the looks and voice of an angel and deserves much, much greater things in the years to come. Her writing skills are second to none and her vocal delivery is smooth, soulful and so precise she is spot-on. This Lady has more talent in one hair on her head than any of the mass-produced un-talents out there that cram the R&B charts.

"Soul Walking"

Trei's album? Now here, you have pure quality. One aside I would like to mention is this. I have been in touch with Trei (pronounced Tree) and she e-mailed me after the London bombings, showing her concern. If that doesn't say anything about the human being, then nothing will. Trei is a mum who has an amazing voice. Every song led this CD, which is refreshing these days. 'Invitation' and 'Love Is Lifting Me' on this set are worth the price of the album alone. 'Rain' is of a very high standard as well. Why aren't women of this quality at the top of the charts? I guess these days, cream always rises to the bottom! LOL Do go and buy this set. An album that deserves a money back guarantee, it is that good. - Toby Walker www.soulwalking.co.uk/index.html

"Soul Tracks"

This album shows her to be a pleasant vocalist with a nice midrange. The real surprise is the quality of her compositions. "Invitation" and "Peace" are top-notch adult songs, and her "Complete Me" could have been a Cherelle-Alexander O'Neal duet 20 years ago. This Is Me is a nice introduction to this talented young singer/songwriter and portends good things to come for Trei.

"ATLANTA TALENT MAGAZINE"

Carlton Hargro, Assistant A&E Editor of Creative Loafing, states, “Trei makes smooth music reminiscent of divas like Sade–but possesses a bubbly, very un-diva-like, spirit; that’s a rare and refreshing combination. Colin Morrison who is a music Producer and also a Marketing Specialist at SonyBMG, describes Trei as, “Truly a very talented and passionate artist that realizes the importance of connecting with her audience through both her music and her personality. This is Me takes you on a blissful journey of romance and inner beauty layered with lush chords and harmonies.” Colin Morrison also advises everyone to “watch out for this rising star.” Trei continues to remind her fans that “it is not about me”; the singer feels that she is a vessel from God that has been given the opportunity to move people to embrace their destinies. - Trei Shares New Album

BIO
Born in Detroit, Trei's (pronounced tree) musical introduction to performing and the arts were rooted in gospel. At the age of four, she was singing on a local Sunday morning church radio broadcast where she was a regular for the next two years. Trei’s formal voice training began at age six and soon music became a refuge and beacon for Trei allowing her to emerge from several challenging events in her childhood including being given up for adoption at birth and then later being returned to the system by an abusive adoptive parent. By the age of 16 Trei was living literally on her own.

At 22 Trei left Detroit for the emerging music capitol of Atlanta. She was able to further fulfill her desire to express herself by working as a background vocalist for several La-face recording artist, and performing as the lead vocalist for local Jazz band in an array of society events, galas, balls, and showcases-- from clubs to concert halls. In 2005 Trei released her debut CD entitled “This Is Me” under her independent label “Inline Entertainment” Trei is currently recording on her second CD in what peers around her have been calling a new mature sound coming from the artist. Audiences will definitely hear and feel a more confident Trei as she delivers what she has labeled a “hybrid sound” of Acoustic Jazz-Soul. Trei’s sophomore work is scheduled for release in the fall of 2007. To find out more about Trei visit the sites listed below or contact
