Trematron’s delirious art-rock collides fervent vocals with epileptic riffs anchored to dark propulsive grooves. Residing in a similar sonic landscape to Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Fever to Tell, their dystopian sound recalls the disaffected themes of Joy Division and Dead Kennedys.

Trematron plays music for the 21st century schizoid man.

With reckless abandon, frontman Stefan Pintaric lets listeners see the spinning streetlights and rain-slicked pavement through his dilated pupils. Lurching through LED landscapes and the siren-songs of internet vixens, blinking skyscrapers bend overhead to form the ceiling of a Phillip K. Dick city.

With a casual virtuosity, guitarist John Kohlsmith combines intricate and angular riffs with abstract textures to create a soundscape which is at one moment dreamlike and saccharine; dizzying and abrasive at the next.

Hussein Hirjee is a rhythmic force-to-be-reckoned-with. Possessed of an intuitive, mathematical understanding of patterns and an equal love for grunge and 90s rap, he provides eccentric, evolving percussion. Trematron's songs have a heartbeat that at times races forward, and at others skips like an arrhythmia.
