"I had a vision and extended my music and business expertise to other artists. The ability to relate to other artists and provide a vehicle to showcase their skills culminated in the production of Trendsetters Volume 1."

Five entities with different backgrounds and styles come together and demonstrate how talent, perseverance, and chemistry can result in a unified project.(Supress, Vanity, Kap Rizzy, Marvaluz, and G-Stacks)

Trendsetters will be performing live SUNDAY MAY 25, 2008 AFR'AM FESTIVAL DOWNTOWN TOWN POINT PARK STAGE 2 NORFOLK VIRGINIA. The Trendsetters have accomplished an album "Trendsetters vol. 1 Sky's the Limit"; being sold in several stores in VA, NJ and online. The Group TRENDSETTERS has grown to be one of if not the the most popular group in Virginia. The Amount of people that show up to support at each show and the myspace views and plays says it all. CEO Purnell Salter (United States Army Veteran/ Iraqi Freedom) has clearly put together a promising music oportunity for the state of Virginia as a whole.

About The Group

Coming out of Norfolk, VA (better known as Trendsetter City, VA), five individual labels were brought together under one independent label, Lockout Entertainment, to form "Trendsetters". A movement designed not only to set trends as far as their lyrical abilities, but to prove to the world that hard work is the key to being successful in this business. Purnell Salter, the Ceo of Lockout Entertainment/Collabo Records, and the creative genius behind the Trendsetters' movement, approached his artist K.A.P Rizzy (kicks and punch lines) of Collabo Records Inc. ,G Stacks, Vanity, Supress, and Marvaluz. Any and everyone embraced in their presence will agree that these individuals are confident yet humble, persistent, hardworking, and dedicated.

Since coming together in the fall of 2007, the Trendsetters have accomplished an album "Trendsetters vol. 1 Sky's the Limit"; being sold in several stores in VA, NJ, and online at cdbaby.com(http://cdbaby.com/c d/trendsetters), Apple Itunes(http://phobos.apple.com /WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/vie wAlbum?playListId=269546516), and lots more online mp3 music options. The Trendsetters have recently garnered the 1st place prize showcasing their talents in the VA Put Up or Shut showcase hosted on Langley Air Force Base.

TRENDSETTERS are one of the fastest growing groups to come out of Virginia . Collectively the group has experienced performing in huge events and opening up for other big name artists as well. Besides performing at some of the notable venues like VA House of Comedy, Peppermint Beach Club, NSU, and Blakely's, the groups has had more notable appearances working alongside BET and traveling to the UK to perform in both Amsterdam and London. "Trendsetters" , it's not only a name, not at all a gimmick, but more importantly a movement. So don't just stand there, "follow the footsteps!!"

Special Notes:

TRENDSETTERS are one of the fastest growing groups to come out of Virginia

*Trendsetters have the most notable stage performances and the most supporters at these big events and with the proper coverage the genius of the musical group can get the attention of an even bigger audience with being made aware.

*I would like to get live coverage of this event as well as print coverage about the event taking place.

*Working on the TRENDSETTERS second album "The ALLIANCE"

*Lockout Entertainment will be releasing a big Compilation Album in June 2008 including various artists from all over Virginia. People interested in being involved with the album should contact Purnell Salter.

"I chose to use a picture of the Downtown Norfolk Skyline for the cover background because I was born and raised in Norfolk. Norfolk symbolizes what we have in common. Dreams were fostered and fulfilled in Norfolk. I want to authenticate the local music scene by separating the official album release from the street release. I'll call it the start of a new beginning."
