"RAPPER TRENT - G RHYMES FOR THE BIG MAN UPSTAIRS."

Rapper, Trent G, Rhymes for “the Big Man Upstairs”.

Posted by admin on May 20th, 2011

I spoke with Chicago rapper and hip hop artist Trent G. The G stand for God. This was a guy that started on the streets, living the life that was not on the right path. As Trent got older, he rapped fiction influenced real-life facts. He ran with a bad crowd, attempting robberies, gang banging, and many more things that were negative.

Interestingly enough, Trent went on to win the title of World’s Fastest Rapper and $10,000 on “Steve Harvey’s Big Time” TV Show.

Since Trent-G was crowned World’s Fastest Rapper: Trent has appeared as a special guest on the nationally syndicated Good Morning America; twice been featured on The Donnie McClurkin Show with Pastor Donnie McClurkin; aired as a special guest on nationally syndicated Chicago radio stations WGCI 107.5FM and WPWX 92.3FM; and been written up in well over 10 Chicago newspapers.

Despite such considerable success, all was not right. Until, Trent got his calling. He turned his life around “for good and for God”.

“Now, his entire musical and life’s mission is to win souls for the kingdom of GOD and the greater good”.

Be on the look out for the newest, hottest, fastest AND most spiritually edifying rap on the planet with his Tate Music Group release “NO LONGER SHACKLED”!

Bio

Trent - G was born in Chicago on July 1st, 1985. When Trent was just 8 years old, he heard a new rap group called Bone Thugs N Harmony, and they inspired him to write his first rap, which was about a bank robbery that he had committed. As the rap details, he was shot by police, taken to jail, posted bail and so on.
Although the rap was fiction, people in the Eden Green community, where he lived, loved to hear it. Despite its idyllic name, Eden Green neighbored the equally infamous Chicago project Altgeld Gardens, and both areas were known for their violence and gangs.
As Trent got older, rapped about things he had done, seen in his community, involved with, which were real-life facts. He ran with a bad crowd, attempting robberies, gang banging, and many more things that were negative.
In high school, he joined a rap group called Loose Cannons. The group's manager later changed their name to Raw Product. The group won every talent show they entered. Graduating to shows with well known artist like Common and Twista, the group appeared to be destined to succeed.
It was disagreements escalated to street fights, verbal threats and more that triggered the demise of Raw Product.
As destiny designed, the group's split was not without a silver lining.
Trent went on to win the title of World's Fastest Rapper and $10,000 on "Steve Harvey's Big Time" TV Show. As well, the visionary of Raw Product, Beadz, continues to make music.
Since Trent-G was crowned World's Fastest Rapper, he has also appeared as a special guest on the nationally syndicated show Good Morning America, where he brought out award winning singer Patti Labelle, but when Trent achieved these things he was a secular rapper, talking about guns, sex, murder, and many more negative things in his music, but something happened that changed Trent, and he started to seek God. Trent was in a relationship with a young lady whom he had known since high school, but when Trent was with her, he was a street guy. He gang banged, fought other gangs, and had a very foul mouth, and he talked cruel to his girlfriend at the time, and did not care about cursing her. Oneday the Lord decided to get Trent's attention by splitting up the relationship, and Trent was devastated, because he did love her, but being young and interested in the streets, he did not show the love. When she left, Trent could do nothing, but call on the name of the Lord to heal his broken heart, which he did daily. In this process, God started to show Trent what he had to change, and how he should walk in life, thirsting for righteousness, and seeking him. Trent got closer to God, and started to take the split from his ex girlfriend as a blessing. One day Trent was reading the bible, and fell asleep while doing so, and the voice of the Lord came to him, and told him that I AM GOING TO SAVE YOU, and the voice said this 3 times. The next morning Trent awoke, filled with the spirit, and never the same. Trent says seeing friends of mine and people that I knew well get killed in the streets did not reach him, and did not want to make him change his ruthless ways, because he had a hard heart, but God knew what he do with that. He broke Trent's heart, and got his attention that way. Trent use to think his testimony was soft and would not appeal to the streets and geneartion that he is after, until he read in PSALMS 34/18 that THE LORD IS CLOSE TO THE BROKEN HEARTED AND SAVES THOSE WHO ARE CRUSHED IN SPIRIT. So, God knew surely what he was doing. Today Trent is a man that ministers the gospel through song, and encourages the youth, telling them that he was once involved in street life, and if he can come out, so can God bring them out. Since Trent has started rapping for God, he has twice been featured on The Donnie McClurkin Show with Pastor Donnie McClurkin; a great performance on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show, and more. Pray Trent's strength in the Lord, as he continues to go hard for God.
