Trenton Street Rockers

Trenton Street Rockers was founded as a musical collective in Providence, with the concept that it would bring together musicians specializing in instrumental reggae music from around New England. And so it has. Through special feature live performances, the band has set itself apart as more than just a lineup of talented, experienced reggae & jazz musicians. It has culminated as the most well-rounded foundation of the genre in the area. Fierce in its live exploration of instrumental reggae, it brings to life original compositions as well as music written and performed by the most prolific Jamaican musicians- from those associated with Coxone Dodd, Jackie Mittoo, Studio One & Augustus Pablo to the tightest of modern reggae bands. Able to thrive in an instrumental, original setting, or with a featured singer or artist, this band stands as a beacon for modern live roots-reggae from its foundation as Rasta spiritual music to jazz-infused modern dancehall. The most exciting aspect about the group's accomplishments thus far is that it has maintained a collective atmosphere, and allows the hype & excitement surrounding the group to build as it has yet to release an official EP and can only be heard in recorded sound through raw live cuts.
