Bio
When Seattle producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney) sat down to master this album, he called Trepan “grunge,” so I guess that’s what we are. It's rock, so why not? We are from Seattle….
Trepan is a five-piece band with male vocals, drawing comparisons to Queens of the Stone Age and Foo Fighters. Laid down on top of music that makes drivers go faster, the vocals conjure up images of expensive things being pulverized - not skinny boys whining.
No pre, no post, no pretentious hyphenated accoutrements. Just Rock.
“Unlike the miserable grunge bands, these guys sound like they're having a lot more fun. Personally ‘Stoner Rock’ is a better term for their sound, which is fuzzy and thick like grunge, but with a different attitude.” - Rock and a Hard Place
“Vocal aggression that pushes through the cliché to present a real on-the-edge sound that is reinforced with a strong mortar ‘n’ brick support of distorted guitar and a rhythm section that understands that sometimes you need space in a song and other times you need to fill it to the brim with sonic presence.” – Audio Meatus
