Bio

TRESSIAH BOMBINO was born in Toronto, Canada to Italian parents and has been singing since the age of eight. While singing in the local Church Choir Tressiah made several television apperances.

Born as "Teresa DeMaria Bombino" on May 6, 1972 the grandaughter of the late well known singer/songwriter from Italy, "Michele DeMaria" in fact, has been Tressiah's musical inspiration since the age of four. Never knowing her Grandfather, but only through his music Tressiah blends her deep musicial sensations and connects it with both her ethnic Italian roots and Spanish ancestory.

In 1999 after successfully graduating from The Ontario Conservatory of Music Tressiah began touring around Ontario and Italy performing at The "Salo Music Festival" and at "The African Musical Festival" in Italy.

While living in Italy, Tressiah was inspired by the African cultures in Italy and the Italian colonies in East Africa and began to write and produce her first album. In that same year she took part in "The Emergenza Festival Tour" and was recognized as the most artistic.

In 2006, Tressiah Bombino unveils her first release of African-Italian fusion and showcases traditional sounds from Italy and rich rythmns from Africa blended in modern Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B and Latin Jazz. The repertoire consists of African percussions such as djembe, bata, bongo's and shakers followed by Italian mandolins, accordion, piano, tambourine, organ and harmonica.

Tressiah's performances are both unique and outstanding and while performing with a professional six piece band, Tressiah's theatrical shows consist of burning incense, candles, tribal dancing, professional latin dancers, uses props and wears both custom made outfits and shoes.
Tressiah Bombino is a must see!
