Tressiah Bombino's brilliance gives birth to a new genre of music "African-Italian Fusion" with traditional Italian sounds & African rythmns blended in modern pop, hip-hop & latin. The unique sounds, styles, cultures, eras, proverbs & chants are what this singer, songwriter & producer is all about.

Biography

TRESSIAH BOMBINO was born in Toronto, Canada to Italian parents and has been singing since the age of eight. While singing in the local Church Choir Tressiah made several television apperances.

Born as "Teresa DeMaria Bombino" on May 6, 1972 the grandaughter of the late well known singer/songwriter from Italy, "Michele DeMaria" in fact, has been Tressiah's musical inspiration since the age of four. Never knowing her Grandfather, but only through his music Tressiah blends her deep musicial sensations and connects it with both her ethnic Italian roots and Spanish ancestory.

In 1999 after successfully graduating from The Ontario Conservatory of Music Tressiah began touring around Ontario and Italy performing at The "Salo Music Festival" and at "The African Musical Festival" in Italy.

While living in Italy, Tressiah was inspired by the African cultures in Italy and the Italian colonies in East Africa and began to write and produce her first album. In that same year she took part in "The Emergenza Festival Tour" and was recognized as the most artistic.

In 2006, Tressiah Bombino unveils her first release of African-Italian fusion and showcases traditional sounds from Italy and rich rythmns from Africa blended in modern Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B and Latin Jazz. The repertoire consists of African percussions such as djembe, bata, bongo's and shakers followed by Italian mandolins, accordion, piano, tambourine, organ and harmonica.

Tressiah's performances are both unique and outstanding and while performing with a professional six piece band, Tressiah's theatrical shows consist of burning incense, candles, tribal dancing, professional latin dancers, uses props and wears both custom made outfits and shoes.

Split'tin

Written By: Tressiah Bombino

SPLIT’TIN

I don’t give a shit but my
Brian is split
And I don’t need you now
A father brings a child’s name
Words only scissors can cut
Chandler’s in my eye’s
Knives in my thighs
There’s a fine line between
Brilliance insanity
I’m a sinner
Where’s my saint’s?

Chorus

Suck in the world with a big syringe
Pour it all out
Like a blob of ink
Voices and screams
My brain is split’ tin
Does your cranium fit in my blades?

I wanna push you outta of my mind
Like a baby from the belly
That’s stickin’ jelly
Sweet sweet mango tree
Grows right outta me
Forbidden fruits malicious’ all ready
In my own righteous ways
I wanna pee standing side ways
Is this a masculine mystic?

Chorus 2x

Here comes the twist
Spins hot like hell
My head is on the ground
My body in the air
Disease’s and freaks
Spit from my ear
Think this mind of mine maybe split’ tin again

The World

Written By: Tressiah Bombino

The World

I went fishing’ caught my self a snake
It bit me hard
But I still go out
Dancing’ in the rain
Kissed a frog in an African prince
He bowed to me and said
Be the leader of your own free will
But primitive one’s
Keep their tongues as a charm
Protect themselves from the things they know
Nothing of...

Chorus

Does anybody know if this world’s going to be all right?
Does anybody care?
Cuz it really gives me fright

I’ve seen a man join Pinocchio’s parade
Made me cry
He thought kindness was weak
But wasn’t it the lord’s lamb
Who walked many roads
They used crypto codes
And now I think it’s my turn to be heard
Fucka rumpa jumpa liars
When will you ever learn
The pen will conquer
Any sword, ever used

Chorus 2x

Putting on fights
Bring them peace
Let us unite

What's your name?

Written By: Tressiah Bombino

WHAT’S YOUR NAME?

There’s a vibe that goes through my veins
See your face gotta have it
Let’s peel away the naked skin
Dig till I reach your heart
Take it all in
Untie the knot it rumbles within
Let butterflies fly outta my bum

Chorus

Oh your so soothing addictions ruling
This love’s that’s oozing it’s got me howling
I know you want me
As bad as I do
Uh babe what’s your name?

I don’t wanna come down from this high
No good things only last a while
Like caffeine it gives for a buzz
A bee that stings only sweet blood
Honey is sweet but
I need real love
Pour me another
Cup from your mind

Chorus 2x

What’s up with her looking here like that
Sour cream and chives anyone
Nah nah pretty lady
You keep it to yourself
This man’s coming home with me and no one else

Oh your so soothing addictions ruling
This love’s that’s oozing
It’s got me howling
I know you want me
As bad as I do
Uh babe, what’s your name?

American Skin

Written By: Tressiah Bombino

AMERICAN SKIN

My baby’s gotta an open mind
He knows how to use it
It feels so good
I'll try and not to abuse it
Like a chain and we are a link
One by one watch them break
I wasn’t made to shut my mouth
Instead let me curse in vain

Chorus;

Searchin’ and you can’t disguise
What you need 2 minutes later
We are living the time of our lives
In American skin
Cause it’s not where you’re from
It’s what you do that brings you far
Being strong and standing tall
Don’t be afraid to fall

In a box your foot won’t go forward
There’s a step inside every hour
The shoe is nice is it worth the price
Yes there’s bliss when you miss
Poke a hole
Out comes the light
Your eyes just then might

Chorus 2x

It’s funny how you think a girl is inessential
Not essential
Now you need to turn around and chase away the rain
Confusion
It’s funny how you think your ego can stroke the pain
Delusion
Now you need a pill and start all over again
Recycle

Like a chain and we are a link
One by one watch it break
I wasn’t made to shut my mouth
Instead let me curse in vain

Speak da Truth

Written By: Tressiah Bombino

SPEAK DA TRUTH

You’re feelin quite tenacious
Racist mind is contagious
You know the blabbing behind your back is called stabbing’
Don’t make unity equality a sheared
Ignorance or respect a parade
Only only then will you ever learn
When back stabbers talk
Don’t act concerned

Chorus

Speak da truth
Never make society
Make you loose control
It’s the only thing that will take you far

Did you know Martin Luther
He was a truther
All he tried to do
Was free himself and connect
Are you gonna protect
Or stay there and infect
Only only then will you ever know
Bring the news face to face
Then let yourself..

Particles of dust
Stayed so long
I throw off my blanket
And kiss it goodbye
It’s good to me
Good to be free
Iamb hadi huru
Dice la veridad
Imba hadi huru
De la verita

My Eye's are Green

Written By: Tressiah Bombino

MY EYES ARE GREEN

When I look in the mirror
It’s not really me
There’s a bull
With 2 horns and a nose ring
I run so fast
My heart in my hands
The things I’ve learned are lessons from the past
And pain brings courage
Courage is strength
I’ve waited so long to see you again
And these are the words that I found

Chorus 1x

My eye’s are green not yellow or blue
Green means go
I’m so over you
And if I still were in love
I’d be red
But now I know I’d rather me alone instead

Now I know this love’s gone bad
You’ll always be a fool to me
So hurry and run
Caught up with me boy
You’ll never get a second chance
The things I’ve learned
Are lessons from the past
And pain brings courage
Courage is strength
I’ve waited so long
To see you again
And this is the words that I found

Chorus 2x

I’m so over you
Alone in bed
I’ll never be
Watch for yourself
Not over me

Muy Bien

Written By: Tressiah Bombino
