Biography
Trevor Andres' debut CD 'The Offering' currently in stores nationwide (distribution through CD Baby,(www.cdbaby.com) / Playindies (www.playindies.com)/tower records,(www.towerrecords.com)

The Offering delivers a sharp, original and a many faceted brand of hook-heavy, brooding melodic pop rock, which hints at a Nine Inch Nails intensity, colored melodically with Collective Soul's attitude and a John Cougar honesty. With a stunning debut charged with a wide range of emotions, this is one band to keep your eyes (and ears) on in 2009.

The band’s debut album 'The Offering', creates music that unfolds from this thoughtful collection effortlessly and mixes a timeless brand of pop with a clever foresight of alternative sensibilities and lyric stylings.

Originally hailing from Winnipeg, Trevor Andres' own musical background began at fifteen. Awe struck with such bands such as Thin Lizzy, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, Trevor fell in love with the sounds of British pop and in 1986 was playing clubs at sixteen, until an audition for a local Hungry Eye talent agent band landed him a gig playing in Barely Legal, (later fronted by female vocalist of Vixen, Lenita Ericson) contributing to one of the busiest touring schedules of most Canadian acts at the time. This image and music conscious unit was highly in demand through 1990 until 1996.

After six years of extensive road work, Trevor went on to play with scene veterans Reg Mennell and Kevin Swan of Playground X and guitar demon Steve McGovern of Orphan, forming the band A.W.O.L.. Being mostly a cover band, A.W.O.L. did dabble in some writing and performed a few of their songs on a live radio show from Winnipeg on Friday nights from a venue called Night Moves showcasing on the local rock station 92 CITI FM. Shortly after, Steve and Trevor started collaborating on musical ideas, as Steve's writing was appearing in some Ridley Scott movies and A.W.O.L. was disbanding. In 1991 Trevor and Steve decided to form a group to tour and play original material. With additions of Roman Breuer and Arnold Umali the newly formed Voodoo Dogs recorded a complete record with sound engineer Marty Kinac(of Juno winner Susan Harmer).

Eventually deciding to go his own way, Steve left the band and was replaced by original guitar player Lou Greenburg from Barely Legal. Within the first rehearsal the band was writing again, and in 1994 released it's own six song EP debut 'Dirtier Than You', although a personal triumph sonically and musically, the band fell short financially, only able to record the six songs in hope of distribution interest. The band toured Canada opening for acts like Great White, Honeymoon Suite, The Infidels, Wild T and The Spirit, Anvil, Etc., never getting that elusive distribution deal through Island Records Germany.

In the fall of 2003 Trevor started writing another record with long time friend Steve McGovern, and although 'The Offering' is Trevor's own brainchild, he’s quick to point out that it’s a collective effort. “I had all these songs mapped out, but there’s a few people who helped that I’ve gotten pretty close with over the past couple of years, as well as some that I’ve known for up to twenty years. I’m really lucky to have the opportunity to work with such great people who also happen to be great musicians and idealists.”

Engineered by Yannis Fyssas, the results of 'The Offering’ debut mix trace elements of the British Invasion sounds, along with both melodic pop and the best of what new bands like The Stereophonics and The Wallflowers have to offer. With a wealth of beautifully composed and arranged rock songs, such as “Broken,” “Stumble” and “Black Valentine”, Trevor proves with aching vocals over haunting pop melodies, bright harmonies and intelligent lyrics, often delivered with a dark sense of longing, that Trevor Andres is capable of creating that rare thing in rock music – an album that is both immediately classic and forever timeless.

Trevor Andres’ self-titled debut was released on January 19, 2006 . The band is rehearsing for an extensive 2006 tour and is currently available for bookings.
