Trevor Larkin

I grew up in a small farming/college town called Walla Walla in rural Washington State. I graduated high school, moved to Boston and crashed around Berklee College of Music for a few years until they gave me a piece of paper saying I could play the guitar. Then I moved to Seattle, mainly because I like sunshine and don't drink coffee, and formed a rock band called Garrison Frost. Over the course of a year and a half, we played tons of cool shows, got played on a lot of radio stations, and wrote some great rock songs. We started to get some "industry attention." We were told we were good, but didn't have a hit. Nickelback has hits, some industry types said, and we should be more like them. So, not sure of what we really wanted to do apart from not being like Nickelback, GF broke up and I decided to go it alone. The decision was very much based on my wanting to travel, write, and play music for people on my terms. I want to create the most melodic, intelligent and satisfying music I can.
