"Heart Like Gold" Debut CD 2004

Feeling a bit camera shy

The Hulbert brothers come from a widely musical background. Their father, Thomas Hulbert, originally started them off by getting some of the family together to practice a few songs and perform at a couple local places as the "Six Nervous People". It consisted of him, Gabe, Ty and his wife Tracy, Noah, and brother Dan. That soon died down, but Dad Hulbert's dream did not. He had believed for a long time that one day his sons would go on to form a group on their own. This is exactly what came to happen.

Around the year 2000, Tyler got the other 3 brothers from "Six Nervous People" back together to work on some cover music. After getting a bit of exposure at a local coffee house called the "Upper Room", the guys decided they like where this was going. Soon they "hired" another drummer; Rick Shelton, and started going by the name Trial by Fire.

Eventually the band picked up another member Armond Floyd, whose stylings were very unique and brought the band to a higher musical level. Dan eventually dropped out of the pictured, as did Rick.

In the summer of 2003, the band met Vin Vanderweele while performing in Manitowoc, WI, while taking turns playing drums on different songs. This lead to Vin being the new drummer.

In early 2004, Trial by Fire began to become quite seasoned musically, and obtained an offer to record a CD. Armond announced to the band that he would no longer be with Trial by Fire, so Trial by Fire recorded the CD with just Gabe, Ty, Noah, And Vin.

As of recent, Vin is no longer able to be with Trial by Fire, either, so the band is currently interesting in finding a new, ambitious drummer with a heart for God.
