Chris drummer
The day I emerged from the womb, my doctor was puzzled as to what I was clenching in my fists. As it would turn out I entered the world holding a pair of nylon tipped 5B American Hickory drum sticks. Please dont inquire as to how that came about. It is a wildly disturbing and detailed account. Actually, I grew up absorbed in sports and school, but with a void in my life that I searched to fill. My oldest brother James, who happens to be the very best drummer I know or have seen "bangin the skins", provided an emaculate template for me to base my early playing years. When my middle school band teacher tragically vetoed my request to switch from tenor saxophone to percussion, I regretably dropped band class and all the perks that come with it (band camp). As I entered the interesting world of high school, I watched my friends form bands in secret envy while I appeased my slave driving athletic coaches. I contiued my love for music through listening and tinkering around on my brothers drum kit. Middle school and high school would prove to be vital years as my taste in music evolved. My first CD was Green Day's Dookie. From there, I jumped on my older brother's musical band wagon, and explored the diverse world of Grunge music. Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains entered my life, never to exit. As friends my age picked up all the MTV trends, I persisted with my 90's tunes and hang on to them to this day. Rage was next. I couldnt get over Brad Wilk's simple set and various beats, and who can deny Tom Morello? Led Zepplin was soon after introduced to me along with Tom Petty and other various classic rock. At the ripe age of 19 I bought my first drum set at a mom and pops pawn shop for $200. It sounded nasty and I loved every minute I clocked. About a year after, I met the amazing artist Adam and the rest is history.
