Um CD para se ouvir muitas vezes, não pela dificuldade de absorção, mas pelo prazer de escutar três violas muito bem tocadas (...) A escolha do trio de mesclar músicas consagradas com autorais foi muito feliz, pois mostra, ao mesmo tempo, a tradição da viola e a contemporaneidade dela. Principalmente num trabalho como este com três violas que dialogam e improvisam como ações paralelas e complementares (...) o CD inteiro é uma grande homenagem e nós ouvintes é que agradecemos pelas belíssimas composições de João Paulo e interpretação de todo o trio."

Elias Kopcak (viola caipira)
In 1995 he had his first viola caipira classes with Ivan Vilela having participated two years later in Ivan's Grupo de Viola Caipira de Campinas that had the innovative propose of making collective arrangements for many violas. One year later, he created the Contra-Toeira trio of instrumental viola caipira. In 2002, he won the prize for Instrumental Revelation with his composition Boiadeira at Festival de Msica Caipira de So Bernardo do Campo. Two years after, he participated in the second edition of Premio Syngenta de Viola Instrumental, a national award, where he won the 4th place with his composition Flecha do Tempo. In 2005, he started to study composition at Uninversidade Estadual de Campinas. Some of his compositions have been were part of documentary sound tracks, such such as "E ai, Chapa!",by Fabiana Buzzo. Since 2001, he's been a viola caipira teacher and member of Orquestra Filarmnica de Violas, acting as musician, monitor and arranger.

Rodrigo Nali (viola caipira)
Participated in many popular music and blues bands in the 90's. In 2000, he started to study viola caipira and began to play with Orquestra de Viola Caipira de Paulnia, in which he appeared on important TV shows such as Viola Minha Viola on TV Cultura. Since 2001, he has been a member of Orquestra Filarmonica de Violas where he acts as an arranger and one of the most important musicians. He is one of the founders of NGO Ncleo da cultura caipira, whose goal is the research, the preservation, the recollection and diffusion of the multiple aspects that make up form caipira culture and music.
In 2003, he studied viola caipira with Ivan Vilela (viola caipira professor at Universidade de Sao Paulo). He gives workshops and speeches on viola and msica caipira with Joo Paulo Amaral and Elias Kopcak.

Joo Paulo Amaral (viola caipira player, arrangments, musical director)
Musician, composer and researcher, he graduated in Popular Music (guitar and acoustic guitar) from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2001) where he has been doing his Master on viola caipira. Having been member of many Brazilian instrumental music groups since 1998, he won the first place as a viola soloist (category instrumental) at Festival de Pocos de Caldas (2002). Since 2004, he has been a viola caipira teacher at the well-known Centro de Estudos Musicais Tom Jobim. Arranger and musician of Orquestra Filarmonica de Violas, he recorded viola and guitar in the cd "Cirandas, Folias e Cantigas do Povo Brasileiro (nominated for the Tim Prize in 2004) by the important composer and interpreter Renato Teixeira, besides having participating in recordings and shows with important names such as Robertinho Silva, Nen, Natan Marques, Ana Luizaand Luis Felipe Gama, Juliana Amaral, Alberto Luccas, Sylvinho Mazzucca, Pablo Silva, Ivan Vilela, Paulo Freire, among others. He also takes part in the song field with the group Conversa Ribeira, that revives and renews traditions of msica caipira and that is releasing its first cd in 2007, having been selected in the important Projeto Pixinguinha (2007) to tour many Brazilian cities.
